How We Started
My journey with Seasoned Sistas Travel began from a place of longing - not only for new destinations, but for true connection among mature women who, like me, have spent decades nurturing families and serving our communities. In November 2023, I gathered a small group of curious, faith-filled women on a private travel page, believing that the joys of cultural discovery and sisterhood could be beautifully woven together. Out of these early adventures, a supportive community blossomed, shaped by my faith and a heartfelt desire to create safe, empowering spaces for mature women to celebrate themselves and one another. Every trip is planned with thoughtfulness, blending relaxation, culture, and authentic friendship, so each woman feels uplifted, seen, and welcomed as she explores the world in the company of sisters.

Drawing on local roots right here in Farmville, VA, our group blends carefully curated outings with rich cultural experiences, always keeping sisterhood and safety at the heart of what we do. Through small groups, we nurture real bonds - sharing stories, laughter, and life-changing moments. Whether traveling locally or abroad, each journey is designed for relaxed independence, spiritual enrichment, and genuine connection. Every woman is invited to discover her place in our loving circle.
Founder
Kyle Bouknight
Kyle Bouknight is the organizer behind Seasoned Sistas Travel, and she is very much a sister sitting right beside you. Years of raising a family, serving in church, and planning trips for friends showed her how many mature women quietly longed for safe, joyful travel with like‑hearted companions. In November 2023 she started a simple private Facebook group, then watched it grow into a loving community of women eager to say yes together. Kyle plans each outing with clear communication, gentle pacing, and thoughtful touches that say, "You matter here." She believes travel should feel peaceful, not pressured, and that every woman deserves to feel seen and unhurried. When you reach out, you connect directly with Kyle, who listens, answers questions with honesty, and walks with you step by step so you never feel alone.
